2015 Hall Of Fame Inductions A Great Success

A near sell out crowd was on-hand to witness the inductions of Lisa Devine (athlete, racquetball). John Wilbert (builder & coach, judo) and the 1991 Armour Fence Islanders (Allan Cup champions, hockey) on October 2 at Red Shores in Charlottetown.

Lisa Devine was inducted by her old coach Bill Simmons, while former athlete and national team member Steve Edmonds flew in from Montreal to read the citation on his old coach, John Wilbert. Newspaper sports editor at the time Bill McGuire told the story of the Armour Fence Islanders, for whom owner Nalda Wheeler, and team captain Ron Carragher, made heartfelt acceptance speeches. many of the team were in attendance, and all enjoyed their special night.
